RIDING CAMPS
Horse Lovers "Day Camp"

Camp is open to Youth 8-17 years old.
Our summer camps are a great way to be around the horses and stable. Our campers will start by learning:
- How to safely walk a horse
- How to safely groom and tack
- How to safely wash a horse
- How to clean tack
- Parts of the horse
- Basic veterinary care
- Basic feeding information
- Basic hoof care and farrier work
- The fundamentals of riding including trotting, circling and posting
- The fundamentals of hooking and driving a horse to a cart
- The fundamentals of training a horse
- History of the horse
- History of riding
- History of the American Saddlebred
- And many other aspects of horsemanship, including how to safely have fun with their big, furry friends.
Arrival time each day is 9 a.m. (Monday through Friday). Pickup time each day is 3 p.m. The children will need to bring lunch
daily, except for Friday when we order pizza! There is a refrigerator available, if needed, a soda machine is at the stables.
Riding helmets are available. Riders should wear long pants and boots. Tennis shoes are permitted.
The price of the camp is $300 per week, with a $100 nonrefundable deposit due by June 1. We limit the number of campers to 12. They will return home in the evenings full of great
