I am using different kinds of desk for many years but I like corner desks most which I am using right now. It can be great furniture for home office. I can easily move my chair in the room in front of desk as you can have lots of space. I can easily access my keyboard as well as my printer and filing cabinet. The corner desk has facilitated me a lot. There can be more space occupied by the regular rectangular shaped desk.

The corner desk has provided efficient use of space which otherwise was wasted and it is the second pro of corner desk. We try to fill the extra square foot of free with something. Some people also try to use awful fake plants while others try to place some useless objects there. We do it but I don’t know why. It means nothing else can go there on the desk in the corner.

There is built in vertical space on my corner desk in the form of shelves above the main work surfaces which are very nice. It has become very important for me to place different objects up and out of the way on the corner desk. I can easily place my CDs, DVDs, some office supplies and some personal items like plant and pictures in these shelves very easily. I try to store my external hard drive, card reader, digital camera and flash drive on other part of shelf. All these things are good to have close because these things are used regularly.

The corner desks should be applicable especially when you have your back to the wall and it is the biggest con of using and owning corner desk. You might want to have your face towards door and wanted to have more space in your room all the time and this idea might come from old west thing. It might be due to that you want to be prepared for everything in this way. But actually reason is that many people feel comfort on being situated directly against wall or in corner facing out. But I don’t have same idea as I don’t bother to have my chair more out in the room and back to the door.

You can find different kinds of desks which are available in different sizes, shapes and these can do great work for you. I have always preferred corner desk due to organization, ease of use, more space and access to everything when you are working. I would recommend you to go for corner desk without any reservation if you are thinking about corner desk.
